What is Muay Thai Kickboxing?

Muay Thai or Thai boxing is often referred to as “the science of eight limbs”. That’s because a Thai boxer’s arsenal includes hands, elbows, knees and shins, making them a formidable opponent. Muay Thai has a long and proud history in its native country of Thailand, and is the countries’ national sport.

The work out or conditioning aspect of Muay Thai Kickboxing is world renowned. Push-ups, crunches, squats, skipping and running all play a major role in a fighter’s preparation. This type of high intensity conditioning makes it a truly exceptional means of getting in shape, weather you ever intend to compete or not. This is part of the reason that Muay Thai Kick boxing’s popularity has risen so swiftly in North America. A student of the art will quickly find themselves in great shape, looking and feeling better, with a street applicable self defense system at their disposal.

You have nothing to lose but a little body fat, and everything to gain from this fast paced, exciting art. Come test yourself!

What is Mixed Martial Arts or MMA?

Mixed Martial Arts or MMA has seen an explosion of popularity over the last few years with leagues like UFC, PRIDE FC, and K1 dominating the fighting world. MMA competitions pit athletes with a multitude of disciplines in both striking and grappling arts against each other with explosive results. Whether the match ups are fast paced precision striking, technical grappling showdowns, or old fashioned slugfests, MMA fans are rarely let down by an event. Although a number of martial arts are studied by MMA practitioners, there are a few standard arts that are used almost universally amongst fighters. Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Boxing are staple fighting systems adopted by most serious competitors, and all of which are taught here at Ultimate Martial Arts. Want to become the most well rounded fighter you can be?  We can get you there!

"Why Should I Try This Instead of Joining a Fitness Club?"

You probably know that regular exercise is vital to your health. I bet that in one point in your life you've joined a fitness club in order to get yourself in shape and to lose weight.

But sooner or later you've come to realize that exercising in a gym can be very boring and monotonous.

Sure, exercise is good for you, but…

How exciting is lifting a dumbbell or running miles on a treadmill? (Doesn't that remind you of a hamster running on a wheel?).

Now because of this boredom, exercise has become more of a chore than anything else.

You may have even lost all motivation to go to that fitness club you've joined and now you're back where you started...

At Ultimate Martial Arts, you will:

Have FUN while burning calories in our exciting classes

Have an instructor MOTIVATE you throughout the workout (have you ever worked out by yourself and left the gym after 20 minutes because you lost the motivation to complete your workout?)

Get in the top shape of your life while learning the self defense techniques of Muay Thai Kickboxing & MMA

Feel confident about yourself because you'll be lean, physically fit, and have the knowledge of one of the most effective stand-up & Ground fighting system on Earth!

Women Classes…

Sometimes training at a new gym amongst new people can be intimidating. That’s why Ultimate Martial Arts has women’s classes that are designed to help you achieve your goals without the concerns or issues that some women may have. With a fitness and self defence focus, they allow you to feel better about yourself as far as health and safety are concerned.

Friendly Atmosphere…

Courtesy and safety are staple principles here at Ultimate Martial Arts. Our students and staff will make sure everyone feels welcome, and comfortable. Every beginner class, advanced class, and sparring session is closely monitored to insure that know one is injured. Our instructors will gladly answer any questions you have about technique and safety at anytime. Long lasting friendships are built at the gym and it’s a rarity not to hear some laughter and good conversation over the traditional Thai ring music.

Qualified & Well Trained Instructors…

All of are instructors at Ultimate Martial Arts work closely with Head Instructor Kru Paul Minhas to insure that our techniques, class outline, and knowledge of the Arts is up-to-date. All of our trainers have years of experience in their respective discipline, some working diligently to perfect the art as a hobby, others to apply their skill in competition. This helps Ultimate Martial Arts fine tune the training of our students by placing them with an instructor who has similar goals, and has reached them! The bottom line is, whatever your goals are, we can get you there!

Now You Can Get In Shape FAST and Learn Self-Defense with
MUAY THAI KICKBOXING & MMA !

Ask yourself these questions…

Are you out of shape?

Haven't worked out in years?

Never done something like this before?

Are you a huge fan of martial arts?

Well, It Doesn't Matter...

Our Muay Thai Kickboxing program is designed to meet the needs of a brand new student that is attending for the very first time. You might be thinking that you need to get in shape on your own before you start training…

That is the furthest thing from the truth!

You'll absolutely love the challenging yet rewarding environment we have set up in our Beginner classes. It will allow you to come in and learn no matter what type of shape you're in.

But you might be thinking…

"This Sounds Dangerous and I Don't want to Get Beat Up!
Martial Arts is WAY TOO HARD!"

I've heard that there are people that think Muay Thai Kickboxing is WAY TOO HARD and are hesitant to give it a try. This is the furthest thing from the truth.

Actually, it's pretty funny. It's a misconception…

I guess some people think that if they come to learn they'll be kicking trees, beating their shins with bottles, or that someone is going to throw them in the ring to fight with one of our Champions

WRONG!

Muay Thai Kickboxing is FUN first and foremost and doesn't require any previous experience.

Anyone can do it, big people, small people, young people, old people, flexible people, non-flexible people, experience people, non-experienced people…

ANYONE CAN DO IT.

If you have ever thought that Martial Arts training may be for you I would urge you to come in and see our program for yourself.

I guarantee that you'll absolutely love it; we can help meet any of your needs.

"What Makes Muay Thai Kickboxing
Different Than Everything Else?"

You might be familiar with events such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), K-1 or the Pride Fighting Championship. If you seen enough matches, you'll find that most competitors cross train in Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Why?

Simply because it is an effective, tried and true, time tested fighting system.

Commonly referred to as "The Science of the 8 limbs", Muay Thai Kickboxing originated from Thailand and has become one of the most popular ring sports in the world. It has recently been accepted as an official sport in Asian Games competition and the push is on to have it accepted as an official Olympic sport. It is becoming increasingly popular outside of Thailand and has enthusiasts and practitioners in the Americas, Australia, Africa, Japan, and Europe.

There are no Kata's (choreographed sequence of techniques which appear to be used against imaginary opponents), no Gi's (pajama-like uniforms), and no belts.

When you start training in Muay Thai Kickboxing & MMA, you will:

ˇ  Learn the most devastating kick in the martial arts, the Thai Round Kick

ˇ  Learn how to effectively use punches, kicks, knees, and elbows

ˇ  Learn how to defend yourself against attacks with the weapons of Muay Thai

ˇ  Gain confidence and self assurance that you know the best stand up martial arts on the planet!

We Will Help You Reach Your Goal.

You might be wondering now if this actually works…

Thousands of people have discovered the benefits of our program...

Here's what UMA Students are saying…

"STRENGTH OF THIS CLUB IS THE INSTRUCTOR'S DEDICATION TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE STUDENTS"
